Fort Clark Springs is located on and around the grounds of Fort Clark, Texas. The fort was established in the 1800's as frontier defense for early settlers against Indians and bandits. It was the home of the famous Black Seminole Scouts and almost every General Officer from the time of the civil war until after World War I was stationed at Fort Clark at least once. In World War II, nearly every General Officer had served at Fort Clark.
